Washington D.C. Part 2!

I am sorry for having this big long gap between posts,
but we have very slow internet at our apartment right now so it has been kind of hard.
But starting Monday we get new internet!
The second part of D.C. was definitely very memorable.
Instead of going to some of the monuments in the middle of the hot day with a lot of people, we decided to go see them at night and it was amazing! We liked seeing them in a different light!
Then the next night Maggie and Steven took us to an awesome park with all different kinds of animals and plants! It was really cool and Michael absolutely loved it! (except for the bugs :) )

Then us 4 decided that during the weekend we were going to drive to Virginia beach for a mini weekend trip! We went Friday morning and came back Saturday evening!
The car ride was supposed to be 4 hours, but because of traffic it took us 7 hours to just get there! That night we went to a sushi restaurant where it was all you can eat anything off of the menu. Steven and Michael definitely got their moneys worth and loved every minute of it. Michael said that the water is the warmest ocean water he has ever been in, and I have to agree. I could just go and sit in the water and not get any chills or anything. It was SO nice! It was definitely  one of our favorite parts to our trip in D.C..
Here is a picture of our cute friends Steven and Maggie enjoying the ocean.

The morning of our departure, was by far the worst day in D.C. I remember the night before having dreams about not feeling to good and that woke me up. It was 6:28 two minutes before alarm was supposed to go off because our flight was early. I sat up and thought oh maybe that wasn't a dream, I don't feel to good. I sat there for a second and just ran to the bathroom. I had a VERY upset stomach. (From here on I may give a little details some people don't want to know) The first thought in my head after was oh crap, my biggest fear ever was to be sick on an airplane and that now came true. I got a blessing right before we left for the airport from Steven and my awesome husband and we were off. Well I was feeling fine, then all of a sudden in the car it happened again, I felt so bad for being in such a close area with Maggie, Steven and Michael but I couldn't handle it. Then I felt fine checking in our bags and everything so I thought that I was good. We were walking down the halls of the airport and it just hit me right there. I had to run to a trash can and threw up in the middle of the Washington D.C. busy busy airport. Michael was so good to stand there by me and hold my hair back and just support me. It was at this point that I didn't even care where I was doing it I just felt nasty. We got to our spot and about to get on our plane and it thankfully happened this time in the women's busy bathroom. I could just hear people going in and out, and this time I was embarrassed. Especially having to walk out of the stall and see all the people that heard me.
We then had to board the plane. Michael told the flight attendant I had morning sickness (not very funny) and so when I got up there I told her it was just an upset stomach from a mistake I made in taking birth control (which was the real reason) and she looked at me very confused. But the two flight attendants were waiting at my hand and foot giving me cold towels, ginger ale and making sure I was feeling okay. After I got the towels Michael and I both crashed. When I woke up I was absolutely fine. Didn't feel any sickness or anything.
I know for a fact that the reason why I didn't get sick on the plane or anything was because of the blessing that my husband gave me. Heavenly Father watches over us and the Priesthood is SO powerful. I am so grateful that I have a husband that is worthy to have the priesthood.
I am sorry for this very long and very detailed post!
Just keep posted for more pictures!

Washington D.C. Part 1!

The whole reason why we are in D.C. is the obvious reason- to visit our best friends Steven and Maggie, but another big reason was Michael presented at the APA (American Psychology Association) conference here in D.C.!  Michael had already bought his plane ticket before we decided  to get married and booked it for two weeks so here we are. The first couple of days Michael went to this convention so Maggie and I hung out and did girl things. These next couple of pictures are when we met Michael in down town hence the fancy clothes. :)

On Saturday of the first weekend we were here, my brother and sister-in-law who live in Maryland, came down and picked us up took us to the Capital building and the Library of Congress and then took us to their house for a very fun weekend.
This is it for this post, but definitely more to come!

Saucedas Go Cross Country!

This is the first post of the Sauceda Family blog! Michael and I met and started dating in January, were engaged in April and got married on July 19th, 2014! We have been married for less than a month and we have been on many adventures and are as happy as ever! We ventured out to St. Louis (for Michael to attend graduate school) a week after being married, moved in, and are currently visiting Washington D.C.
Our apartment is about 5 minutes away from downtown Saint Louis and we love it. We will post pictures of our apartment when I actually have time to get the house all cute and clean. :) We thought starting a blog for all of our family and friends would be a good idea so that people can stay in tune with what we are doing. Hope you enjoy!

Pictures will be coming soon about our trip here in Washington D.C.!!
