Utah Trip!

This blog post tab has been up on my computer for about a week now so I decided I better finish it! :)
It seems that we have been home for months but we have only been home for almost a month from our awesome trip to Utah! To start out our trip home, we decided to drive 4 hours to Kansas City because tickets were $200 cheaper! So we started out Saturday afternoon, got to Kansas City about 6:30, went to Carthage Jail (My great (not quite sure how many greats) Grandma Caleb Baldwin was in Carthage Jail at the time with Joseph so that was cool to go see, We ate at our favorite breakfast restaurant Cracker Barrel, then got to the airport and sat for 2 hours!

You don't realize how crazy hair is until it is gone :)

We finally made it on the plane and I swear, they have made those seats smaller and smaller. I couldn't lean forward and put my head on the seat in front of me it was so tight in there! For some reason that airplane ride seems like it is never ending Michael completely agrees. My dad came and picked us up from Vegas, took us to In N Out at midnight, then we had to drive 2 hours to my parents house. Lets just say there was a lot of sitting going on that day.
We got up the next morning, went to church (more sitting) then my sister-in-law Leslee came over with my new nephew colt. I cried and cried the day that he was born just thinking of how I wish I could be there holding that new born baby but I had to wait. So saying I  was excited was an understatement.  Colt was born on October 22nd. So my two nephews have the same birthday just almost exactly one year apart. He is such a sweet sweet little boy. Then we drove another hour to go surprise Michaels family. They thought that we were coming 3 days later and I think that we got a good reaction from them. His parents just kept saying are you guys really here? Is that really Michael standing in our living room? So that was a fun surprise. Of course I did video for the whole time except for when she realized it was us so you get this short little clip of MaMa kims reaction!

Michael thought that I had been taken video for the whole time so that is why he is said stop but I WAS NOT going to miss this!
The next couple of days, I did a lot of commuting back and forth from Cedar to St. George (about an hour each way) because I had different appointments I needed to go to so I took that time to spend with my parents while Michael spent it with his. Oh side note. Logan Michaels best friend came down from Northern Utah the day we got to Cedar so that he could spend time with us! TRUE friend right there Ladies and Gentlemen, he is seriously the coolest guy ever!
Oh and we also went snow shoeing!

Christmas Eve came and it was a crazy one. Kim (mother-in-law) hosts Christmas Eve are her house and she had nothing short than a very classy fun Christmas Eve party. We got awesome presents from the gift exchange! Taylor (Michaels cousin) got for me and I think she got the perfect present for me. Accessories I am a total girl and I love everything about jewelry, watches scarfs etc. After everyone left, I finished making homemade cinnamon rolls for Christmas morning and we all attempted to decorate a gingerbread house (Chris I think was the only one that actually insisted on finishing it)

Christmas morning I was full of excitement.
This is my 16 year old cousin. From the time we were kids, we was double my size!
Christmas eve it wasn't snowing, then I woke up Christmas and it was a white masterpiece outside. Living in St. George we don't have very many white Christmas so this was magical ( I think I have had one white Christmas). Something seems different about the feeling of a fresh fallen snow, it seems so peaceful and I love everything about it. (I am more of a looking at it in a warm house rather than going out and playing in it :)) We got a very generous amount of presents from Michaels Family! Then my parents drove up and we headed up north. Had Christmas dinner with my grandparents and my Aunt Janeths family (Minus  Matt). It was fun to spend Christmas with extended family especially since it was my grandmas 85th birthday! The day after, my mom put together an awesome birthday party for my grandma. My mom is seriously so amazing, she puts her whole heart and sole into these things.  Just my family filled a whole church gym and it was so fun to see everyone.
My grandma is seriously the sweetest, friendliest, amazing grandma that I could ever ask for.
same goes for my Grandpa! He was the one who sealed Michael and I and I love my grandpa more than words can say.

My mom doing her thing!

We headed home and spent a day in Cedar with Michaels family for the last time, then headed down to St. George. Days seemed to go by way to fast there and it was already time to head back to Las Vegas to go home. My sister and brother live in vegas and so we decided to go down on New Years Eve and spend the day with them. This way I got to see both of my nephews at the same time. To be honest, I think that this was my most FAVORITE part of the whole trip. It was so fun to have a 1 year old who will just follow you around all over the house and just laugh and giggle, then having a 3 month old baby and seeing the sweetness and tenderness come from him. If you guys haven't figured out, I love these two boys more than anything.

In vegas with my two cute nephews, Michael and I got them matching outfits for their birthday and Christmas.
Besides my parents, these two were the hardest goodbyes that I had to make. I didn't want the night to end but it was time to go to the airport. We sat in the airport for a couple hours and midnight hit while we were there. We got on the plane about 1 and with the time difference got back to Kansas City at about 6. The 4 hour drive more like turned into a 6 hour drive because we kept st
opping at random places and sleeping, :)
Sorry for this extremely long post, but there was just to much that I couldn't leave out! Yeah uploading all of these photos I realized, Michael is in like none of them! oops!!
Thanks for reading!
Love the Sauceda's from St. Louis!

Catch up time!

Holy cow how times has gone fast and it has gone without any blogging! We have had a lot going on with doing finals, working, going back to Utah, coming back home and getting ready for school and it hasn't left a lot of time for multiple blog posts, so we will all stick them into one extra long one! :) Here we go!
A couple of weeks ago, we decided we needed to get out of the house and go and experience something in St. Louis. So we had heard about the St. Louis  city museum because everything else closes at 4 or 5! It was quite pricey for us poor little college students, but it was definitely worth it. Any couples that want to just get out and act like children again, I advice this museum to you. It is a museum made all out of recycled products, Michael was in heaven to say the least.

Then of course we had to end our date night at the Fountain on Locust
When we first moved here we looked at what was playing at Fox theater and saw that Mannheim Steamroller was playing in December and we had to go. It was a great start to the holiday and fox theater is beautiful!

Well I will post about our awesome trip to Utah a little later! But for now, enjoy some awesome pictures of us during finals week and with a lot of hair.
This is how I looked a lot of finals week. Thank goodness for online classes where you don't have to get ready to go to class.
