Glimpse into Sauceda's Halloween

Its officially fall and we couldn't be more excited! Its the time for apple picking, pumpkin carving, decorating and one of my favorites making caramel apples! We have been very busy recently and it seems to all be with school. It seems that every night after I get home from work and Michael gets home from school, then make dinner, its school time until we go to bed which is usually around midnight.
We have officially bought our plane tickets to go home for Christmas and I am seriously so excited! I have a countdown on my computer telling me how many more days!!
The weather here is perfect which means little humidity ;) That definitely shows that this is the best time of the year.
This post is going to be kind of a short one, but here are a few things that we have to get us ready for fall and Halloween!
Mama Kim and Papa John always go above and beyond on their packages.

When Michael was gone to L.A. I decided to make a Halloween wreath!

Catching up on our life!

We are not to good at keeping this blog updated as some people would like us to,( I know I need to get better) so this post will be just a variety of pictures with little captions in the bottom explaining what we have done.
Some things not pictured that we have done is:
  • Cleaned the St. Louis Temple on our two month anniversary, then went and celebrating at Cracker Barrel (where we ate the morning after we got married)
  • Our friends here invited us over for dinner on Sunday night and made us a FANTASTIC meal, then we made homemade doughnuts for dessert!
  • Went to a couple of Michael's grad student parties which was fun so that I could meet everyone.
  • Went to Six Flags which is one of my favorite things to do.
Well, enjoy the pictures! Hopefully we don't bore you too much!
Love, The Sauceda's In St. Louis!

Bought ourselves an ice cream maker with a gift card we have!

We bought this lamp from Good Will for 2 or 3 dollars

Then decided it needed a new paint job.

Partied with our best friend Logan (who lives in cedar) on his birthday!
Started our food storage thanks to Papa John and Mama Kim! We have no where to put it, so this will have to do.
This awesome view was on our way to Six Flags ( we bought season passes!) We have loved getting out of the city and seeing a different part of Missouri we haven't seen
My favorite things to make recently have been delicious treats! Thank you Maggie Hyde for introducing us to these delicious rolls!
We ordered a medicine cabinet for our bathroom because there is no storage space, so Michael became a handy man for a night and built it. (Obviously this isn't the finished project)

Homemade salsa has become a very frequent thing in our home! Michael loves his chips and salsa!
As you can tell we REALLY love food!

A couple of firsts!

Our lives have been filled with a lot of firsts these last couple of weeks! Michael had his first day of Graduate School at Saint Louis University a couple of weeks ago and I started one of my new jobs a couple days after that! Michael leaves to school usually at 8 a.m. and doesn't get home until about 6 or 7, so I decided that I needed something to do while Michael was gone so I went job searching on Craigslist. I found a job in Chesterfield Missouri about 30 minutes away from where we live, working in a Chiropractic Office as a  Chiropractic Assistant! I absolutely love it! I work three days out of the week and am going to start another part time job here in the next couple of days.
Michael has loved going to Grad School so far and it has definitely kept him very busy.
Michael also went to Los Angeles last weekend to go to his grandmothers funeral and that was a first for me to stay home alone. He had a great time getting to spend time with his family while I stayed home and worked but also got a lot of crafting done :)
Michael's first day of school!

My first day at my job!
A great thing about living in a new big city, is there is a lot of fun things to do. We went to our first Cardinals Baseball game Labor Day weekend. We didn't get that into it, but it was definitely fun to just be in that fun environment with an amazing view!

That same weekend we decided to get a season pass to Six Flags that is about 20 minutes away from our house. We went on the very last day of the water park season so we thought it was going to be very crowded but the longest we waited was 10 minutes for a ride. It was the perfect day to go and we had a lot of fun. Michael absolutely loved it and so it was fun just seeing how much fun he was having.
But overall our lives have been filled with fun times, stressful times, sadness from being away from family and friends, but we love our life here and wouldn't trade it for anything!
